About the Course
This 6-week online course with Abigail Wilber offers adolescents the opportunity to develop emotional intelligence; the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions.
Based on a decade of teaching youth yoga, mindfulness and social emotional learning, Abigail offers concrete tools and practices to bring emotional balance to your adolescent’s daily life and relationships. Students will learn to:
Recognize how emotions show up in their body
Understand the unmet need that stems from their emotions
Skillfully express their emotional state
Learn how to support their emotional life
Practice self-compassion with difficult emotions
Through different practices and reflections participants will develop greater understanding about their emotions, how emotions drive their behavior, and tools for emotional balance.
Course Details: Monday nights, November 11th through December 16th, 2019 (6 weeks)
Time: 8:30-9:00pm EST 6:30-7:30pm MST
Designed for adolescents ages 13-16.
